Fund generation and purpose
Every weekend United We Stream will feature performances from DJ’s, bands, singers, and others from across Brighton, plus guest performances from artists linked to the city. All we ask from you is a voluntary donation to help some of Brighton’s best-loved venues through this crisis, as well as supporting local charities and the fight against homelessness.
our aims are;
– showcase local talent
– showcase Brighton venues and locations
– raise money for local causes
– give back to the community
Note: The United We Stream Brighton fund for the night-time economy businesses in Brighton & Hove is not part of the Music Venues Trust Save Our Venues campaign, but all venues and businesses will be eligible to apply for funds raised.
Who can apply?
Cultural Organisations, Performance Venues, Pubs/Bars and Individuals/Freelancers from across the Brighton & Hove area can apply for the fund. All the benefactors of United We Stream Brighton will be decided fairly in collaboration with the Culture, Tourism and Sport department at Brighton & Hove Council and Night Time Economy Advisory Board. This will be made up of people who represent national cultural and night-time economy organisations as well as home grown industry professionals and venue owners. To be eligible, you must be a Brighton-based individual or freelancer working in the cultural or night time economy sector or be applying on behalf of a Brighton-based venue, bar, restaurant, cafe or cultural organisation. Please see the section on the Solidarity Fund Application for more info.
